My name is Fan Chang, a doctoral student from chair of automobile engineering at TU Dresden in Germany.
What you will talk about at this year’s FISITA World Congress?
A new method to describe the dynamic oversteer tendency; Interaction between lateral instability and roll instability.
What benefits will participants gain from your presentation?
A better understanding of the physical process of rollover.
Which trends do you consider as the most important for your domain of research and your geographical region?
The increasing electrification of SUVs, decreasing development time and "front-loading" in the development process.
What challenges do these trends present?
The rollover stability must be considered with new boundary conditions through simulative analysis in the concept phase.
And what opportunities do these trends offer?
Even in the era of battery electric vehicles, the rollover stability remains important and should be further investigated.
