Please introduce yourself briefly…
My name is Yutaro Itoh. I have been working at DENSO for 11 years, where I am currently Project Assistant Manager. My main background is the field of control theory.
My research interests include in-car energy management, predictive eco ACC, energy management for passenger and freight transport, and mobility energy management in a smart city.
What you will talk about at this year’s FISITA World Congress?
We propose a novel rideshare operations management technology to reduce the total CO2 emissions.
To realize the operations management, we formulate an optimization problem to find the optimal routes and user allocation. Also, we introduce simulation models to calculate the CO2 emissions each driving condition accurately.
What benefits will participants gain from your presentation?
Through my presentation, participants will understand how DENSO can contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality.
Which trends do you consider as the most important for your domain of research and your geographical region?
The important trend, I believe, is connectivity.
What challenges do these trends present?
It is challenging to establish the platforms that enables collaboration between multiple passenger and freight transport companies or automotive industries.
And what opportunities do these trends offer?
By using connectivity, several vehicles can be controlled collaboratively, which can enhance QOL.
