Non-Executive Board Member

FISITA is a highly respected international membership organisation, originally established in 1948, that today provides a range of services for the automotive and mobility systems engineering community, and in doing so reaches over 200,000 engineers around the world.


FISITA activities are delivered in accordance with our Vision statement:

‘Promoting Excellence in Mobility Engineering’


The operation of FISITA activities is conducted through a UK registered company, FISITA (UK) Ltd, which is based in Stansted, England. The staff team works with a large network of member-volunteers around the world who engage in the delivery of all membership activities.


Recently the FISITA (UK) Ltd Board approved the creation of one additional non-executive board position aligned with expertise in the rapidly advancing area of the ‘technology of mobility’.


The new Board member will be required to:

  • Support delivery in achieving FISITA’s membership diversification, growth and retention objectives

  • Support the development of FISITA’s relevance and visibility within the mobility industry

  • Act in capacity as member of the board with regard to good governance and long-term sustainability of FISITA (UK) Ltd and the broader FISITA organisation


FISITA (UK) Ltd now invites applications from interested individuals and is seeking to identify suitably qualified candidates for appointment.


Applicants will be:

  • Experienced in the technology and strategy of future mobility and ideally currently in position within a similar organisation to FISITA, or able to demonstrate an appreciation of the membership organisation sector

  • Able to contribute strategically across a wide range of issues and be a collaborative team player

  • Financially and commercially astute with a proven track record of sound judgement and effective decision making

  • Have an understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities at board level


Time Commitment:

The role will involve attending quarterly Board meetings, some ongoing work between meetings, plus preparation time.
