The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (UWB or Západočeská univerzita v Plzni [ZČU]) is one of the most successful universities in the Czech Republic with students in many technical fields, humanities, arts, and the field of health care.

The university currently has nine faculties and two higher education institutions. Students can choose from a wide range of bachelor's, master's and doctoral study programs in full-time, part-time or distance form of study.
