Devin Chen studied Automotive Engineering in Jilin University. After he graduated from 2005, he stared his career in a Chassis component company ,then he joined General Motors and Volvo Cars for brake systems development.  

In 2015, he joined the NIO Inc, a pioneer electrical vehicle company. He established NIO Foundation Brake Team from scratch and led team to successfully launched all NIO current series production projects.

He is good at electrical vehicle brake system development and delivered speech in some important forums , he is also a paper co-author for EuroBrake 2020.

Furthermore, he is involved in several standardization activities as well, such as China GB and industry standard.
