EUROBRAKE 2020: Ashish Jaiswal - Complex Eigenvalue Analysis of Automotive Disc Brake Squeal with Automation

15 September 2020

EuroBrake 2020

Complex Eigenvalue Analysis of Automotive Disc Brake Squeal with Automation is now available from Ashish Jaiswal, Ansys, on the EuroBrake website. He answers a few related questions in this Spotlight.

What do you find most interesting about the topic you are presenting on?
Brake Squeal is a common phenomenon and is of interest to majority of the OEM's and brake suppliers. It is essential to understand brake characteristics and study the effect of each parameter effecting squeal properties. Most of us experience brake squeal at some point while driving and it becomes even more appealing to investigate it further.

How has coronavirus affected your work and has it had a direct impact on the work you are presenting?
We were looking forward to attend this event this year and would have definitely liked to present our work at the event but unfortunately, due to Covid-19 we will have to wait.

Who do you think will be most interested in seeing your presentation and who would you most like to ask questions about it?
Major OEM's and brake suppliers would be interested in our presentation. They can correlate their on going brake squeal simulations with our automation solution and may be more curious and we would like to answer their questions.
