It was announced today that FISITA President Paul Mascarenas OBE has been invited to join SAE-China’s prestigious International Technology Advisory Committee (iTAC) to contribute his insight into the technical evolution occurring within the Chinese automotive industry. Macarenas will also co-chair the China International Congress on Connected Vehicles (CICV) during the upcoming SAE-China Congress and Exhibition.
SAE-China, a FISITA member society, has launched the initiative to create a communication platform for an international selection of technical leaders to share their expertise and develop strategic plans for the sustainable development of the industry.
iTAC is an exclusive board of representatives from major OEMs and suppliers who will discuss the major issues following the rapid growth of China’s automotive industry. The board will explore strategies for sustainable development and propose solutions for the challenges faced by energy shortage, environmental pollution and traffic congestion.
Paul Mascarenas said, “It's an honour to have been asked to join this prestigious group of industry leaders. This is a pivotal time for the industry as so many exciting new technologies are helping shape the future of personal mobility. I look forward to joining the discussion with my fellow committee members and colleagues from SAE China.”
The first meeting of iTAC will be held during the 2015 SAE-China Congress and Exhibition taking place from 27-29 October 2015 at the Shanghai Automotive Exhibition Centre.
