Record Number of Engineers Submit Technical Papers for the FISITA 2006 World Automotive Congress, Yo

FISITA has received a record response to the Call for Papers for the 2006 World Automotive Congress which will take place in Yokohama, Japan from 22 – 27 October 2006.

Around 1000 experts from 39 countries submitted abstracts, hoping to be selected to present a technical paper in one of more than 100 sessions on automotive technology planned for the congress.

FISITA 2006 is the Federation’s 31st World Automotive Congress, the first having been staged in Paris in 1947. Commenting on the unprecedented number of abstracts submitted, FISITA Chief Executive, Ian Dickie said: “This is certainly the best response we have had in terms of offers of papers for a FISITA Congress in our 60 year history. Not only do we have a record number of offers, but the quality and originality of papers is also exceptional this year.

The FISITA Congress continues to grow in strength and popularity each year, and we’re honoured that so many of the world’s eminent engineers, scientists and executives are choosing us as the preferred global forum to announce their latest technology breakthroughs and innovations.”

The FISITA 2006 World Automotive Congress is organised by FISITA and JSAE (the Japan Society of Automotive Engineers).
