Join us as we investigate the future technologies of Sensing and Perception

Concentrating solely on the technology itself, and avoiding automotive product design, the latest FISITA Technology Discussion will be held on Wednesday 6 October at 3pm UK Time and will be considering Sensing and Perception Future Technologies.

The first in a series of online technical discussion sessions delivered by the FISITA Technical Committee to investigate and assess the impact of the new technologies that have a low Technology Readiness Level with a view that the technology will be integrated within 5-, up to a maximum of 15-years-time in the automotive industry.

Moderated by FISITA VP Technical, Christophe Aufrère, Senior Vice President, Group Chief Technical Officer, Faurecia we will have presentations from:

  • Professor Clark T.-C. Nguyen, Executive Director of the Berkeley Sensor & Actuator Center at University of California, Berkeley and his colleague, Professor Liwei Lin, James Marshall Wells Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, and Co-Director, Berkeley Sensor and Actuator Center (BSAC), they will be presenting on MEMS for Radar and Ultrasound;

  • Dr Maroun Ojail, Embedded AI Team Lead, in the Digital Systems and Integrated Circuits Division of the Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA) in France. His presentation will look at Environment Perception Technologies for Mobility;

  • Adrien Gaidon PhD, Head of Machine Learning Research, Toyota Research Institute (TRI) who will be presenting on Self-supervised 3D Vision

Videos of FISITA Technology Discussion and Online Conferences can be found in the FISITA Digital Library and in this Spotlight introducing the Technology Discussions.

Registration free for employees of FISITA Corporate Members and for members of Engineering Societies that are FISITA Members. Registration from people who are not connected with FISITA will be charged at £40.00 with students at £20 (both prices +VAT where applicable)
