FISITA Summit Speaker Q&A - Bosch

Following 18 months of international disruption, challenge and impact to the world society, and professional community - we begin to emerge from the COVID crisis with many challenges and opportunities to consider. Such importance is placed on the evolving workplace environment by FISITA Member Leaders at this time, that the FISITA World Mobility Summit focusses on a topic of methodology, rather than technology. 'Workplace Evolution' will explore the real-time and future demands on the business for those involved in developing and delivering the technology of mobility.

We are delighted that Mrs Padmaja A R, Senior Vice President at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, Bangalore is joining this year's Summit as a speaker. We caught up with her to find out more about her presentation and how the pandemic has changed the workplace.

Please introduce yourself. Who you are, who you work for, what your role is, and where you are based?

I am Mrs. Padmaja A R, Senior Vice President at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business solutions, Bangalore. I am responsible as Divisional Key Account Manager for “Cross-Domain Computing Solutions” – XC for short.

What will you be talking about at this year’s FISITA World Mobility Summit?

If we are clear about one thing in 2021, it's the fact that there WILL be a new normal. We also are clear that there are no straight (right/wrong) answers. We all have to start scripting the new way forward. I will be sharing my thoughts, experiences and ideas about this.

What will participants take away from your presentation?

When one lacks the right answers, the best we can do is to ask the right questions. Each one of us will have to find the right solutions for ourselves and we won't find them at one go. In this session, participants will definitely take away a lot of right questions and find a few answers to start with.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated changes in many workplaces - what are the key changes that will continue to evolve after the pandemic and do you see any new changes on the horizon?

Some of the challenge’s an organization will have to solve in the new normal:

  • HR Policies and practices

  • The way we form, lead people and build the whole Organization development

  • Productivity the way we understand

Following last year's successful format, the Summit will start with the World Café session on Wednesday 20 October. A full day on Wednesday 10 November to include presentations, summaries from the World Café sessions, discussions, and a concluding session.

As a virtual event, we are able to gather our Corporate Member Leaders, and invited guests from all over the world - we look forward to representatives from both existing and new FISITA member companies joining us to enrich the discussion at the FISITA World Mobility Summit 2021.
