For the last 25 years, Euro NCAP has been synonymous with car safety in the European market, achieving higher levels of consumer protection by continuously setting challenging new targets for the car industry. In the last decade, Euro NCAP championed the development of new safety tests in crash avoidance and assisted driving, which have become the basis for other test programmes and regulations worldwide. Next year, the Euro NCAP rating will once again be moving forwards, with new requirements on in-cabin monitoring systems, and more crash avoidance evaluations for crashes involving other cars, pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.
