Human performance models help to describe and predict human driver behavior, and eventually could contribute to SOTIF exploration of risky human behaviors on driving and HMI. This speech introduces some typical conceptual factors in driver performance models for automotive vehicle systems. Model factors illustrated with human information processing progress explain how driver performance would alter in the perception, cognitive, and decision & reaction progress. And for introducing its potential usage in test scenario generation and automated SOTIF simulation verification, several examples of the computational human performance model in each typical progress help to find out the insights of model applications.
