The improvement of the development of Chinese friction material technologies and the product performance requirements of the international market requires a new approach for testing. The current test with sample preparation and as per national standard GB5763-2008 for daily quality inspection is different from vehicle original pads size and the real vehicle simulation. Currently there is a basis with the safety requirements for product quality evaluation using bench testing standards in Europe and North American during product definition and design as per ISO15484. To find a test method which comes closer to the real vehicle and meets the basic requirements of the international standard in quality control, this paper uses the procedures ISO 26867 as dyno test method, ECE R90 Annex 9 as full size friction QC test and the common Chinese standard GB5763-2008 using a small sample test method for comparison and validation.
