As part of FP7 European project ECUC, this paper presents computational models to describe linear Eddy Current Brakes (ECB) embarked in high speed trains in their interaction with wheel sensor and infrastructure. Electromagnetic compatibility of ECB as culprit and wheel sensor as victim is preliminary modelled and compared with measurements taken in test benches. The comparison is done in terms of input impedance of ECB poles, radiated fields and fingerprints on wheel sensors when the ECB is passing by a wheel sensor but disconnected. Rail track temperature increase is also modelled to prevent buckling. The comparison show satisfactory results and a first step to predict worst case operational conditions.
