The main topics of modern vehicle development are xEV and intelligent cars. The key to vehicle development in both topics is fuel efficiency improvement and proper control of the vehicle in various traffic situations. The xEV braking system is a function that has a significant impact on the fuel efficiency and vehicle control, so proper design is important. That is, it is necessary to consider whether the design of each part to achieve various braking performance is appropriate and whether fuel efficiency improvement and braking performance are balanced through regenerative braking. To this end, an integrated braking simulation model for xEV was built by connecting braking circuits, dynamic characteristics of vehicles and control models. Through this model, from the braking performance design of the concept stage to the response of the quality problem after mass production can be carried out efficiently.
