Dorcen Auto is a high-tech and highly competitive company with "youth and intelligence" as its strategic core, with energy-saving and new-energy vehicle and key parts as its leading products, with intelligent manufacturing and energy-saving and environmental protection as its carrier, integrated with R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Procurement & Logistics and sales & services. NIO

NIO was founded in November 2014 as a global company, with world-class research and development, design and manufacturing centres in Shanghai, Beijing, San Jose, Munich, London and nine other locations. NIO now has more than 6,000 employees from nearly 40 countries. By the end of 2018, NIO will have city operations and services teams in 169 different cities throughout China.

The NIO Formula E Team secured the inaugural Drivers’ Championship title in 2015. In 2016, NIO unveiled the fastest electric car in the world, the EP9. The EP9 set the lap record for an electric vehicle at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and three other world-renowned tracks. In 2017, NIO unveiled its vision car EVE and announced the NIO EP9 set a new world speed record for an autonomous vehicle at the Circuit of the Americas. NIO officially launched the ES8, a seven-seat high-performance electric SUV, on December 16 with deliveries slated to begin in 2018.

Shanghai International Automobile City

Since construction in 2001, Shanghai International Automobile City (SIAC) has become the first-in-China automobile industry base which can provide extensive functions of the entire industrial chain. Supported by solid automotive manufacturing capacity, SIAC focuses its efforts on vehicle development and design as well as the demonstrative operation of new-energy vehicles (NEVs.

By enhancing and accelerating NEV adoption and business innovation, SIAC is achieving constant progress in technology innovation and leadership in the demonstration and innovation of this emerging industry.

In June 2015, SIAC’s built the first national “Intelligent Connected Vehicle Pilot Zone.” In January 2017, Shanghai Municipal Government released Municipal Programs to Implement ICV Innovation Projects to confirm the position, function and key missions of National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Shanghai) Pilot Zone as well as the plan to develop Jiading District into a integrated ICV innovation and application demonstration zone.

As the first international electric vehicle demonstration zone in China, SIAC is earnestly engaged in the demonstration and promotion of EV across the country. EVZONE, a key function of SIAC for test driving, has now been upgraded into an integrated center for customer experience and ICV education.

China SAE | Co-Organiser

Founded in 1963, China Society of Automotive Engineers (China SAE) is a national academic corporation formed by automotive engineers in China upholding voluntary principle and aims to:

  • Promote scientific and technical progress in the automotive industry
  • Train automotive talents
  • Push forward technical exchanges between domestic and international automotive industries
  • Popularize the knowledge of the automotive industry
  • Spread the culture of the automotive industry
  • Build a home for scientists and engineers

As a member of China Association for Science and Technology, it is a non-profit social organization. As an executive member of FISITA, China SAE is also one of the sponsors of the Asia Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference (APAC).

Over the past five decades, we have become a pillar society to promote the sound and sustainable development of China’s automotive industry, which has earned recognition from all sectors of the society, domestic and international automotive industry, governments and the majority of scientific and technical personnel. There are 39 branches under China SAE, and we maintain an operational directing relationship with all the provincial societies of automotive engineers.
