The inaugural FISITA Member Forum is now scheduled as a virtual event on Monday 12 and Monday 19 October.
On Monday 12 October in a virtual session from 10:00 – 11:30 CEST we have speakers from VINCI, ERTICO and EIT on the topic of Smart Cities and Smart Mobility.
Questions posed by these three speakers will be collated and shared with the group, allowing reflection before coming back together for a roundtable discussion session 10:00 – 11:00 CEST on Monday 19 October.

Dr. Florinda Boschetti, Head of City Club at EIT Urban Mobility KIC
Florinda is a city and transport planner PhD, and an enthusiastic advocate of liveable and healthy cities. She holds the position of Head of City Club with the EIT Urban Mobility Knowledge and Innovation Community and animates the community of frontrunner local governments in sustainable urban mobility.
Florinda has over fifteen years’ experience working in sustainable mobility and urban governance across academia, the public sector and European network associations, and liaising with public officials, national and international stakeholders, European institution and intergovernmental organisations.
Before joining the EIT Urban Mobility in March 2020, Florinda has served as Senior Project Manager at Polis Network (2012-2020) as the coordinator of the working group on Environment and Health in Transport. From 2009 to 2012 she has worked with the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) where she has contributed to the launch of the Global Scientists for Cycling Network.
Florinda is a member of the Eltis’ European Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans Coordination Group, and was the programme manager of 6th European Conference on SUMPs in Groningen, the Netherlands in 2019. She is also supporting the Solar Impulse Foundation as a Senior Expert with assessing tech-clean solutions, and has started as an Advocate at PlacemakingX to accelerate placemaking as a way to create healthy, inclusive, and beloved communities.
André Broto, Strategy Director & Advisor to the chairman, VINCI Autoroutes
André Broto is the Strategy Director of VINCI Autoroutes since 2011 as well as the President’s advisor. Born in 1948, André is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique (1969) and civil engineer of bridges and roads (1974). He joined Cofiroute in 1990 after 17 years at GTM, dedicated to the construction of a nuclear power station and ports. Appointed construction director of Cofiroute in 1995, he participated in the design and construction of the Alençon / Le Mans / Tours motorway, the Angers / Tours / Vierzon motorway, and the A86 tunnel between Rueil and Versailles. This ten-kilometres tunnel for cars that run on two levels overlays, is innovative in many ways.
For many yeyars he has participated in the work of the World Road Association PIARC (he is now the Coordinator of the strategic theme “Mobility”, and Chairman of the French Committee), URF (member of the think tank), IDRRIM (Chairman of the prospective committee) and of TDIE (member of the scientific council).
Dr Angelos J. Amditis, ERTICO Chairman & ICCS Research Director
Dr Angelos J. Amditis is Research Director in the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) and member of its Board of Directors. In June 2018 he was elected ERTICO-ITS Europe Chairman. Previously, he has been a member of the ERTICO Supervisory Board since 2013. He is the Vice President and one of the founding members of ITS Hellas. He was one of the initiators of the EuroVR Association and he has also served as President from September 2010 till March 2016.He is participating or has participated to the CCAM, C-ITS Platform, INATBA, eMI³, MaaS Alliance DTLF, GEAR2030, TM2.0 Platform (Steering Body member), Trilateral WG on Automation, euRobotics, SENSORIS, WssTP, ALICE, UITP, AIOTI and many other EC Groups and Platforms. He is the writer of several peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and conference papers. His current research interests are in the fields of ITS including Automated Transport Systems, Cooperative Systems, Electromobility, Smart Mobility both for people and cargo (ITS for Logistics), cooperative systems, sensor and information fusion, data management/aggregation, communication technologies, highly and fully automated driving and embedded systems, vehicle to grid connectivity and charging optimization strategies, control algorithms, human-machine interaction, and FOTs. He is also quite active on Internet-related research (IoT, Cloud services etc.) and in the fields of Sensors for monitoring purposes, Telematics, Telecommunications Systems, EMC/EMI, Electromagnetic sensors, etc. He has participated in a large number of Research projects being the scientific responsible of more than 150 projects in the last 20 years and currently, he is the coordinator of the following projects: CitySCAPE (newly accepted), eCharge4Drivers, HYPERION, Cyber-MAR, COREALIS, ICT4CART, RESIST, ELVITEN, IN-PREP and DIONE projects. He has also successfully coordinated the NeMo, PLUGGY, SCENT, SAFERtec, INACHUS, SENSKIN, FABRIC, RECONASS, ROBO-SPECT, Autonet2030, INTE-TRANSIT and AQUAKNIGHT projects.
