FISITA Intelligent Safety Conference

The 2nd FISITA Intelligent Safety Conference (ISC)

The 2nd FISITA Intelligent Safety Conference (ISC) was held during SAECCE 2020 in Shanghai on 29 October 2020. FISITA and China SAE worked together to host this important conference at a crucial time for the international automotive and mobility systems engineering community. The event was co-organized by Tsinghua Intelligent Vehicle Design and Safety Research Institute, and CAICV SOTIF Technical Alliance. FISITA and China SAE hosted the inaugural FISITA Intelligent Safety Conference on 29 May 2019, during the 6th International Congress of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles Technology, in Beijing, China.

ISC 2020 delivered a high-quality, international speaker line-up, presenting on the safety of autonomous driving, including views on the technology roadmap, algorithms, architecture design, and test and evaluation. The conference content is available below free of charge to FISITA Corporate members, while others will need to pay an access charge.

Intelligent Safety Conference Content

The 2020 FISITA Intelligent Safety Conference was held during SAECCE 2020 in Shanghai on 29 October 2020. FISITA and China SAE hosted the event with co-organisers Tsinghua Intelligent Vehicle Design and Safety Research Institute, and CAICV SOTIF Technical Alliance.

The Conference included introductory presentations and the launch of the FISITA Intelligent Safety White Paper, followed by 15 technical sessions and a panel discussion. The full agenda is available online here: https://www.fisita.com/events/isc/2020/agenda.

The technical sessions are available to FISITA members free of charge with access to non-members being made available at the beginning of 2021. FISITA members get access to content from events held throughout the year and will have full access to the recent World Mobility Summit sessions and over 50 technical presentations for the FISITA Web Congress that will be made available from 24 November. Opening Session

The opening session moderated by Mike Ma, Professor of Jilin University and Vice President of FISITA included a short introduction by Frank Zhao, Professor of Tsinghua University and President of FISITA, and a welcome from FISITA Chief Executive Chris Mason.

Intelligent Safety White Paper

Chris Mason, FISITA CEO, launched the FISITA Intelligent Safety White Paper, with a comprehensive introduction by Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Kompass, VP of Vehicle Safety with BMW Group.
