EuroBrake 2018 to expand its focus on rail sector technology

4 October 2017

FISITA, the international membership organisation for the automotive and mobility engineering profession, has announced that rail sector braking technology will play a significant part at EuroBrake 2018.

EuroBrake is the world’s largest conference and exhibition dedicated to braking technology and in 2018, it moves to the World Forum in The Hague, Netherlands from 22-24 May.

A full day of the conference will be dedicated to rail braking technology, including technical sessions and panel discussions that will run in parallel with other EuroBrake sessions – further information is available here. Topics will include:

  • Driverless train technology
  • Brake systems for high speed trains worldwide
  • Focus on Asian suppliers
  • Key issues on rail brakes (i.e. brake emissions)

Chris Mason, FISITA CEO, said: “We are delighted to enhance rail sector visibility at EuroBrake, offering rail braking specialists and organisations this fantastic opportunity to showcase their research and products to EuroBrake’s international braking and friction community.

“We encourage authors to submit their abstracts, while commercial opportunities are available to organisations looking to connect with some of the world’s most influential decision-makers in the mobility industry.”

There are a number of ways that an individual or company within the rail community can become involved:

  • Chair a Technical or Panel Session
  • Present a technical paper or presentation at EuroBrake
  • Submit, or encourage technical paper submissions from your team and colleagues
  • Contribute topics or speakers for a panel session
  • Exhibit, sponsor or advertise at the event

Further details and contact information is available for rail professionals in this dedicated online presentation here.

Following six years of growth, EuroBrake has become established as the world’s largest technical event of its kind, attended by more than 1,000 delegates, with a significant technical programme of 140 technical presentations and attracting over 100 international organisations to the exhibition.
