New FISITA conference in London to feature world’s leading mobility technologists

FISITA, the international federation for the automotive mobility engineering profession, today announces the launch of FISITA PLUS – a new one-day conference in London, UK on Thursday 13 July 2017, which is now open for registration.

Nine guest speakers, hand-picked by the FISITA executive team, will deliver their ‘real-world’ perspective on future mobility, at the prestigious County Hall in London. The Paul Mascarenas Interview will be the centre-piece of the conference, featuring Ford’s former CTO and current independent director, business advisor and technology executive, in discussion with Jon Lauckner, Chief Technology Officer at General Motors.

The day will commence with a video welcome from FISITA President, Dan Nicholson, VP Global Propulsion Systems at General Motors, live from GM’s Pontiac Engineering Center in Michigan. Commenting on the announcement of FISITA PLUS, Dan explained: “We are thrilled to launch FISITA PLUS; created to support this engineering generation’s development of safe, sustainable and affordable mobility.

“FISITA plays an important role through collaboration among the automotive engineering community and through FISITA PLUS we are offering those in the industry a unique opportunity to hear from some of the world’s leading and recognisable technologists.”

The conference will be split into three sections and speakers will present under three headings: The Mobility Future; Artificial Intelligence and Mobility Technology and Propulsion of the Future. The day’s technology focus will culminate with a headline speech by a leading international figure from one of the world’s most recognised and aspirational brands, which will be announced soon.
