FISITA achieves Investors in People Accreditation

1 September 2016

FISITA, the international federation for the automotive mobility engineering profession, has been awarded Investors in People Silver Accreditation, demonstrating the organisation’s commitment to staff and highlighting its high-achieving culture.

The Silver Accreditation follows a series of assessments that were conducted both online and face-to-face, focusing on three performance areas: leading, supporting and improving. The Investors in People Standard defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results. The Investors in People report for FISITA highlighted a number of the organisation’s strengths including its positive management style and intent based leadership, fast–paced decision making environment and progressive, continual improvement culture.

Chris Mason, FISITA CEO, said: “This is an outstanding achievement for everybody here at FISITA. I’m delighted and very proud to see such a positive report from Investors in People, which is reflective of the culture we aspire to achieve at FISITA. Our Silver Accreditation is something our entire team can be proud of and we look forward to using the information within the report to support our development plans for the future.”

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “Achieving the Investors in People Silver Standard is something that any organisation should be truly proud of. It is the sign of a company which is very committed to good people management practice and we’d like to congratulate FISITA on their achievement.”

FISITA’s global headquarters relocated to Stansted, UK, in 2015, to support its organisational growth, and to provide a modern office environment for staff and international visitors. FISITA now plays an active role in the surrounding business community and has supported the local economy by bringing new jobs to the area.

The Investors in People community is made up of over 14,000 organisations across 75 countries worldwide. Successful accreditation against the Investors in People Standard is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to sustainability.
