FISITA President Paul Mascarenas will deliver the 102nd Thomas Hawksley Prestige Lecture this Wednesday 10 December at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) on the subject of how innovation will drive the future of personal mobility.
Macro societal and economic trends, including population growth, urbanization and the number of vehicles in service are challenging transportation infrastructures, and personal mobility has become one of the key strategic issues facing the automotive industry today. In his lecture Paul Mascarenas will focus on how innovative engineering solutions will help define the future of personal mobility.

Paul is President and Chairman of the Executive Board of FISITA. He is a member of the Board of Directors of ON Semiconductor and is a member of Fontinalis Partners’ Special Venture Partner programme. Previously, Paul served as Chief Technical Officer and Vice President at Ford Motor Company, leading Ford’s worldwide research organisation and overseeing the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy.
The Thomas Hawksley Prestige Lecture will take place at 17.30 on Wednesday 10 December at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1 Birdcage Walk, London SW1H 9JJ. The lecture is open to members of the IMechE.
