About this course

Aeronautical Engineering is a fast paced and extremely popular area of Engineering. With the global trend towards high-speed travel and the recent radical design of double-decker commercial aircraft and future flying wings, there has never been a better, exciting or more interesting time to study and obtain a qualification in this field of study. In addition to our state-of-the-art computer software suites and well-equipped laboratory facilities, we also boast an aircraft hangar where you will gain practical experience on our piston and jet aircraft. Simulation is not overlooked and our FLITE static flight simulator room has state-of-the-art equipment and you will have use of many simulation packages, systems and CESSNA 172 systems simulators. A major project for students will be the involvement in the design and construction of a functioning aircraft.

The design element of the course gives you the opportunity to explore new and radical aeronautical and aerospace concepts. You will be able to take advantage of the design facilities of the renowned North Wales School of Art & Design to see your design in stunning realism.
