About this course

This is an ideal course if you are interested in vehicles and design and technology. It will equip you with a wide range of skills so you can pursue a technical career in the automotive industry. This practical programme will give you a broad understanding of the technology of modern automobiles, and expert design skills. You can apply these skills to individual and group projects, and ultimately to a technical career within the automotive industry. An exciting new development is the opportunity for students on all engineering and technology programmes to participate in the Formula Student competition. Students in the team design and build a small `racing car` and participate in an annual international racing event.

This programme will appeal particularly to those who have a strong interest in the creative aspects of automotive technology, as exemplified by a strong background in craft, design and technology but who are also interested in understanding and developing automotive technology.
