About this course

This is a degree for students who are interested in the motorsport side of the automotive industry. Most of the modules are common with the Automotive Engineering degree but there are specialist modules aimed specifically at motorsport. These include: aerodynamics and performance engine design for motorsport; a motorsport engineering module covering engine mapping, suspension design and performance modelling, supported by guest speakers from various sectors within the motorsport industry. You will be able to attend test days at race circuits using state-of-the-art data logging and analysis facilities. Most students on this degree get involved with the Formula Student racing-car project. You can expect to gain employment with a major vehicle manufacturing company or within the motorsport industry.
