Seminar for Educators

The Education of Automotive Engineers to Meet the Demands of the 21st Century
16:30 - 19:00, Tuesday 01 June 2010
FISITA Congress, Budapest, Hungary

This seminar will be an opportunity for educators and industry employers to make connections and discuss common problems, challenges around the need for innovation in automotive engineering education. The rapid pace of development in automotive technology necessitates greater shared understanding between engineering educators and their 'consumers' in the automotive industry. The current global economic crisis should be looked upon as an opportunity for universities and business to work more closely to increase cooperation while accommodating the core missions, values and needs of both. Engineering educators can gain fresh insight into the current and future needs of industry with regard to technology and wider competencies, helping them to ensure the relevance of their courses and the employability of their graduates.

The seminar will take place in Room 7A of the ELTE University Congress Center in Budapest and is a free benefit for all Congress delegates. For further information about the Educator's Seminar, please contact Emer Padden, Education Officer.
